Morley Royal Hill was born in Big Beaver, Oakland County, Michigan on November 10th, 1916. Morley R. Hill began his Army service with Michigans National Guard (circa) 1937.
Staff Sergeant Morley Hill attended the Infantry Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia from December 1941 through November 1942. He graduated as a Second Lieutenant.
In August of 1943, 2nd Lieutenant Morley Hill came to the 505 Parachute Infantry Regiment, Service Company as a replacement for losses the 505 Parachute Infantry Regiment suffered during the combat drop into Sicily in July of 1943.
2nd Lieutenant Morley R. Hill made combat jumps into Paestum, Italy in September of 1943, into Normandy, France June 1944, and Holland September 1944.
2nd Lieutenant Hill was awarded a battlefield promotion to 1st Lieutenant on February 15, 1945.
1st Lieutenant Morley Hill was honorably discharged January 8, 1946.

Private Darwin B. Hill was captured by the Germans in December of 1944
during the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He was a POW at Stalag 7A, in Bavaria.
